Within this fragile space between looking and being seen, Eva Christina Nielsen has developed a practice that is both restrained and deeply attentive. Her portraits unfold gradually, asking something rare of the viewer. Patience, presence, and a willingness to truly see. Within her photographs tonal range becomes emotional language. Deep blacks carry gravity. Soft silvers hold vulnerability. Light moves across skin with a tactile quality that feels almost physical. Silver carries the image. Breath gives it life.

Working across portraiture, fashion, and documentary practice, Isolda refuses the hierarchies that separate these forms. Instead, she treats them as shared territories in which questions of authorship and representation remain unresolved. Her professional experience in art history informs both how images are created and how they are understood.

Rupture is not an abstract condition but a lived one, registered in bodies, relationships, landscapes, and images. This text unfolds as an inquiry into how damage is acknowledged, carried, and worked through over time, without denial or premature resolution. Moving between artistic practice, psychological listening, and material process, it traces an ongoing engagement with mourning, witnessing, and repair, not as a return to an original state, but as an ethical labor that remains partial and unfinished.

This inquiry lives at the center of Donna Bassin’s work. A Brooklyn-born, New Jersey-based photo artist, filmmaker, writer, and clinical psychologist, she works at the intersection of art making and trauma care, where attention itself becomes a form of devotion.

“The Mighty Roots Music Festival is a testament to the creativity and love for this hallowed ground by an Oldham descendant, Howard Stovall. He decided to return to the land of his ancestors and honor the incredible art form born in this bend of the Mississippi Delta.”

The Delta does not introduce itself. It reveals only fragments. John Agather moves through the streets of Clarksdale, Mississippi, tracing the heart of a town shaped by music and memory. Six miles out at Stovall Farms, on land once tied to Muddy Waters, the Mighty Roots Music Festival gathers musicians and families at the site of a former cotton gin. He walks, watches, and listens. The photographs sit beside his words, each carrying the same weight. Together they form a record shaped by time spent and ground covered. In this space, the Delta is not explained. It is simply allowed to speak.

Tamara Quadrelli works from the simple joy of looking. Noticing how light slides across a wall, how a curtain shifts in the breeze, how color holds its own in the afternoon sun. In Silent Beauty, architectural elements become sites of formal inquiry, registering time and use without recourse to narrative or explanation. Corners cut across the frame. Walls open into broad planes of color. Openings appear briefly, then close again. The photographs remain anchored in the visual conditions of the built environment, where architecture, light, and color determine the terms of engagement.

Héctor Morón interrogates the contemporary city as an engineered system in which human presence is increasingly subordinate to the infrastructures that regulate space, movement, and visibility. The urban environment is framed not as a site of lived experience, but as an operational field, structured by circulation, illumination, and technological continuity. Héctor’s images resist documentary function, instead positioning photography as a critical apparatus through which urban conditions are translated into symbolic form. He does this through the symbiosis of abstract and allegorical conceptual photography, which he calls Allegorical Abstractionism.

“I created Allegorical Abstractionism, a visual philosophy that redefines ICM through a Mediterranean Baroque sensibility — solar, emotional, and incandescent — where light becomes both matter and metaphor.”

4320 Minutes Without Color is a photographic and written work by Algerian photographer Mohammed Nahi, shaped by a period when vision could no longer be trusted. Structured around a defined duration, the project does not describe loss or recovery but attends to an interval of uncertainty — where perception shifts and attention deepens. Developed after a temporary corneal injury, the work moves away from clarity and confirmation, embracing blur, tonal ambiguity, and hesitation. Black and white becomes a condition rather than a style, while time stretches and contracts. Mohammed’s own account is written from inside that suspended space, where seeing must be relearned moment by moment.

“I was no longer photographing what I saw. I was photographing what I could not fully trust.”
